On the third day of her birth, Svetlana was found to have an unknown tumor on her arm. Already at the Belarusian Research Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology, the baby was diagnosed with infantile fibrosarcoma of the left forearm and elbow joint. The child's treatment method is surgical removal of the tumor. However, given the extent of damage to the tissues of the left forearm, the girl's young age, and the anatomical features of the forearm tissues, it is possible to provide damage to the left median ulnar nerve followed by complete paresis of the left hand. For this purpose, it is necessary to conduct an FMI-test before starting treatment. The choice of subsequent treatment tactics and the selection of targeted therapy will depend directly on its results. Svetlana was supported by «Chance» program.
