Meet the child
The youngest daughter in a friendly family from Kletsk was born in May 2022. Her small successes, including her first steps at 10 months, her first words, and her desire to always be involved in things, pleased everyone.
But in November, Kira, who was active, became moody and did not look like herself. She also started feeling sick in the morning. Kira was hospitalized with suspected rotavirus upon the parents' visit to the local hospital. But the next day, the baby had seizures. Kira was transferred to the Soligorsk CRH. After an MRI scan, the baby was urgently transferred to the RNPC of Neurology and Neurosurgery, where an operation was performed the next day to remove a brain tumor. The high risk of complications made it impossible to completely remove the tumor. After the operation, the child underwent 4 courses of chemotherapy at the RNPC of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology . In order to defeat the remaining tumor cells, the girl must undergo radiation therapy. Taking into account the age and location of the tumor, craniospial proton irradiation is recommended. This type of radiation therapy is not carried out in Belarus. The baby is ready to receive treatment at the Berezin Medical Institute (MIBS) in St. Petersburg.
Hospitalization is scheduled for March 6. The treatment will take place within two months. The clinic agreed to accept the baby according to a letter of guarantee from the foundation.
With your help, dear benefactors, we can ensure timely payment for Kira's life-saving treatment!
Dear benefactors, thank you for helping Kira and give her a chance to live her happy life!
