Meet the child
A three year old Vanya suffers from a severe combined immune deficiency. On May 26, 2014 the boy underwent unrelated allogeneic cord blood transplantation. There were serious complications: acute graft versus host reaction of 4th degree as well as multiple infections. Physicians completed a full course of treatment with ganciclovir, but there was no positive result. For specific indications there is an urgent need to change antiviral therapy to cidofovir. Dear friends! Medicine for Vanya was bought thanks to donations received by the charity account of the Foundation with the indication “For the treatment of children."
