In August 2019, Masha was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. This is a complex systemic disease of an autoimmune nature: during the course of the disease, the body begins an immune aggression against its own tissues. The clinical manifestations of JRA can be very diverse: the joints are mainly affected, the course of the disease is accompanied by pain, swelling, and limited mobility in the joints. Masha was forced to change her usual way of life and begin immediate treatment.
The use of basic antirheumatic therapy, treatment with hormonal drugs did not bring a positive result. Given the high activity, the development of hormone dependencyin order to achieve remission of the disease is recommended by specialists to begin therapy with the expensive drug adalimumab (Humira). The Chance Foundation paid for 2 packs of the drug to start treatment. Funds for the purchase of the drug were raised through donations from our regular partners. In order for Masha to continue the course, another 9 packs of expensive medicine are needed.
Dear friends, the right treatment will allow Masha to conquer the disease, go into remission and lead a full-fledged lifestyle for the teenager - to move, dream, communicate with her peers, receive positive emotions and develop for a happy future! Thank you for support Masha on the way to recovery!
